The following is a list of Bark Parks — reserved areas

Wilton Manors' new Dog Park is open every day except Tuesdays and
special events.

"Dr. Paul's Pet Care Center" Dog Park
(City of
Coral Springs)
Sportsplex at Coral Springs, 2575 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs
[MAP]
This two-acre site features a unique dog obstacle course with
exercise/play equipment, as well as water fountains, asphalt pathways,
benches and picnic shelters.

Fort Lauderdale Canine
Beach
(City
of Fort Lauderdale Parks) N. Atlantic Blvd. (A1A) at
E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale [MAP]
A stretch of ocean
beach, beginning at Sunrise and A1A and continuing for 100 yards to the
north (to Lifeguard Stand #5), has been designated the "dog beach" in
Fort Lauderdale. Dogs are allowed only on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays during the
following
times:
Winter Hours: 3:00
p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Summer Hours: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Daylight Savings Time – April to
October)
(Closed Air & Sea Show Weekend)
A permit is required to use this beach and you must have it with you.
One-weekend permits cost $5.65 per dog and can be purchased
from the Park Ranger
on duty at Canine Beach.

Be responsible and clean up after your dog: Dogs must be on leashes and
you must clean up after them.
Pooper scoopers are available from the Park Ranger(s) on duty. There has been a lot of talk about doing away with this beach, so be careful and responsible.

Happy Tails Dog Park (City
of Plantation Parks) In Seminole Park, 6600 SW 16th St., Plantation [MAP]
This five-acre
site features three different sections: A leash-free run and fun area
for large dogs, an exercise area ideal for agility training, and an area
for smaller dogs (25 lbs. or less). Parking, restroom facilities and
pavilions are available. Open 7 a.m. to dusk daily; holiday hours vary. |

Heritage Bark Park

This is a leash-free
dog park with areas for dogs of various sizes. The Bark Park is at Fig Tree and Peters Road. |

Hollywood Dog Beach (City of Hollywood)
N. Broadwalk between Pershing and Custer Sts., Hollywood [MAP]
A one-block section of Hollywood Beach is being opened on a trial basis
to dogs. Current hours of operation are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from
3 p.m. to 7 p.m.. The current trial runs through April 30, 2008. Note
that there is a charge for using the dog beach. For more information

This approximately 4-acre facility has two areas for dogs of
different sizes. The park has 8-foot-wide asphalt paths, three shelters,
drinking fountains for dogs and humans, and a centrally located dog wash

Oakland Bark Park

This recent addition to the City's park system provides a
welcome and long-anticipated amenity to the community of Oakland Park.
This
2.26-acre park
includes separate areas for large and small dogs and canine agility
equipment. Additional amenities are planned. |

Pembroke Pines Bark Park

This is a large fenced doggie
playground complete with obstacle course. Amenities include benches,
handicap access, poop bag dispensers, trees, parking, running water and trash cans.
The park is located on Johnson Street just east of Palm Avenue, across
from a
children's playground. |

Poinciana Bark Park

Known throughout the City by dog owners, Poinciana Park provides a location
to stretch a pet's legs as well as a separate area to play on a
playground, shoot hoops or enjoy a picnic. It also has beautiful poinciana trees.

Bark Park at Snyder Park (City
of Fort Lauderdale Parks)
In Snyder Park,

This two-acre Bark Park has separate enclosed areas for small and large
dogs to run free, along with drinking fountains (for dogs and humans),
benches, picnic tables, agility equipment, leash stations, two hose
stations, pooper scooper dispensers and disposal bins. Dogs must have
current tags and remain on leash until inside the gates of Bark Park.
There is no cost to enter Bark Park but admission is charged for Snyder
Park. Annual passes for Bark Park are available. Call 954-828-DOGS

The dog park is to the back of the
park, at the southeast corner of Lyons Road and Coconut Creek Parkway.
It includes separate fenced off areas for small dogs and for big dogs.

Woodville Dog Park (City
of North Lauderdale Parks)

This three-acre park is a combined educational, natural preserve and dog
park. Located on McNab Road and SW 83rd Avenue, it contains a dog park,
nature trail, open green space, and restrooms. |
